A lot of commentary and resources I've found discussing panentheism seem to associate it with the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam and Chrisianity). While I have no problem with this, as someone who is not a member of any organized faith I find it rather irksome that there seems to be a general consensus that panentheism is just another facet of major religions and not a philosophy that can stand alone. The implication seems to be that if you are panentheist, you're just going about saying you're a ____ *insert religion here* in a roundabout, more PC way.
Hence my question is (I know I know, get on with it) how many of you consider yourselves to be both panentheist and a member of any other religion (a panentheist Christian for example)? How many of you endorse this philosophy in itself? Do you think it makes a difference in the way panentheism is viewed by others and viewed by you as an individual?
Hello everyone, new here obviously :).
...I'm not too late am I?
I want to post some panentheist reasources on the web, but really I know of none. If anybody can give me some, I'll post them on the info page.
